The Research Cooperation Centre (before 2007 European Union Innovation Centre) is a unit within the Archimedes Foundation. The aim of the centre is to enhance the participation of Estonian research, commercial and other organisations in EU research and technological development programmes.

The Innovation Centre acts as:

• National Contact Point for the Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Framework Programme of EU Research and Technological Development (FP5, FP6, FP7)
   
• National Office for COST network.
   

The Innovation Centre has several tasks:

• To disseminate information about EU programmes to organisations;
   
• To give consultations for project proposal writers;
   
• To implement specific projects so as to enhance the innovation capacity of Estonian society;
   
• To develop Estonian Research Information System ETIS;
   
• To organise European Young Scientists Contest in Estonia and the work of Young Scientists' Association.

The Innovation Centre supports the activities of those Estonian organisations that aim to create and strengthen sustainable development in globalizing world. Therefore we link local needs with global resources and help overcome global challenges.
